Our Chairman, Eng. Hussein El Dessouky welcomed the Minister of Transport, Lieutenant General Kamel El-Wazir, to witness a trial run at the Multi-Purpose Terminal Alexandria Sea Port yesterday.
During the experiment, about 30 containers were unloaded from the vessels to the station's arena; it was the first of its kind since the project started 30 months ago.
The port aims to reside, exploit and manage a multi-purpose station on the sidewalks of berths 55-62 on an area of 560 thousand square meters for handling containers and general goods, and to receive from 6-7 ships simultaneously.
