Visit of Minister of Transport, Lieutenant-General Kamel Al-Wazir High-Speed Rail
About
Minister of Transport, Lieutenant General Kamel El-Wazir, visited the High-Speed Rail (HSR) mega project, Hadayek October Station and track, Which are under construction by EDECS, to follow up on the progress and works underway.
The HSR project is an integrated system of a high-speed electric railway network linking the whole country with a total length of 1750 km. It speeds up to 250 Km/hr to transport passengers and cargo along Egypt’s Eastern (Sokhna), Northern coasts (Marsa Matrouh), Luxor, and Aswan.
We are proud of being one of the construction arms, contributing to building innovative and sustainable transportation solutions to ease day-to-day lives and pave the way for development, and reducing CO2 emissions by around 70% compared to journeys made by fossil-fuel vehicles.
